Blast from the Past

I had the opportunity to join my mother, 2 brothers and neice on a trip to NY a couple of weeks ago. It was so nice to visit the home I grew up in and drive by my schools, park, and other sights I hadn't seen in 30 years. We visited relatives I hadn't seen in many years and had a wonderful time visiting with them.

The most shocking site was revisiting the house and yard my grandparents owned many years ago. I was in my early teens the last time I was there. What once seemed like an enormous yard now seemed so small. The outside of the house had been added on to and resided and the inside had been totally remodeled. I chose to not go inside so I could still have the memory of that house as I had once remembered it.

I am so thankful that Scott gave me the opportunity to revisit what was "home" for 20 years.

Mom, much improved blogging! I'm with Maggie, Blogger is better than Xanga--at least for the unexperienced. People like Aunt Wendy are pros and computer geniuses at Xanga. Anyways--looking forward to reading up on many more of your posts to come. Love you!
